How does your point further the discussion? What if Shame is the reason we have libraries?

excuse me for this peasant reasoning but how about libraries were created because of an innate need for knowledge?

No one is viewed as a peasant here.
What about Art? Without Shame, there is no art.

alex... how can you be so close-minded...all the time?
as previously stated, 'shame' is the by-product
of the fear of being finite.
thus, your statement about art is correct...somewhat.
any behavior that instills a person's 'existence'
beyond their death is contributing to the fear.
humans are possessed with the idea that they serve
'purpose'. the goal of 'serving a purpose' is so
that they do not feel life (existence) is in vain.
therefore, shame = grasping (needlessly) at the infinite
in time, everything will end. everything that is
created will be destroyed...or transferred (in)to
another source.
the fight to remain infinite, at last, is still
in vain.
we will always remain finite.
shame is futile.

Shame = maintain.
There is nothing wrong with that Idea.
Why do you scorn it so?
